Digital Dish Diva says: Welcome to MSN Live! Today on MSN Live, we're proud to present the first chat event online with a "Survivor"-- the surprise hit show, which has captured attention of people around the world. There were two tribes of eight survivors each--the Pagong and Tagi Tribes-- who started the quest on the island of Pulau Tiga. Join us as we talk with Joel Klug who was voted off the island in this week's episode of "Survivor." Welcome to "Survivor" fans around the world! It's great to see fans here from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy. . .

Digital Dish Diva says: Joel, thanks for being our guest this afternoon. Looks like the audience has lots of questions for you so let's get started!
Survivor Joel says: Hi.

Digital Dish Diva says: Koolaidhead says: Why did you bring shampoo as your luxury item? Did you think it would be a good bargaining tool or were you just concerned about hygiene?
Survivor Joel says: It was a little bit of both. I wanted it to maybe be a bargaining tool, but it was an all- purpose type thing that you could brush your teeth with also. But I only used it about twice.

Digital Dish Diva says: RaymondPeng Asks: How rough were the conditions there on the island?
Survivor Joel says: It was a little tougher than I even expected. We never slept. We never ate. We slept about one hour a day and ate about 500 calories a day. It was surreal. It was very, very tough.

Digital Dish Diva says: SURVIVOR_freak2000 Asks: How did u feel when the host of "Survivor" said, " Joel, the tribe has spoken"?
Survivor Joel says: It was pretty emotional. I wasn't surprised. I knew I was pretty much done when I lost the obstacle course. It was very disappointing though. I was hoping to last a little longer.

Digital Dish Diva says: kelly Asks: Did you feel that people were being kicked off for their personalities instead of what they could/could not do for the tribe?
Survivor Joel says: Kelly, I think this was definitely from a personality decision. I don't think I let the tribe down, I think it was a personality decision.

Digital Dish Diva says: jamms Asks: Do you hold any hard feelings toward anyone?
Survivor Joel says: No. At the time we were under a lot of pressure. I don't have any hard feeling for anyone in the tribe. At the time we were all a bit fogged and lost track of the reason why we were there.

Digital Dish Diva says: mshreve says: What is the weirdest thing that you ever did on the show?
Survivor Joel says: Eat those bugs. That was by far the strangest. I couldn't see it getting worse than that.

Digital Dish Diva says: blatante says: So it was either starve or eat the bugs?
Survivor Joel says: It was a competition that we had and I had to do it, otherwise I probably would have starved before I would have eaten those.

Digital Dish Diva says: Buffy Asks: Do you regret going on the island?
Survivor Joel says: Definitely not. I would definitely do it again. I play it a bit different, but I would definitely do it all over again.

Digital Dish Diva says: Alias says: Now that you've seen the show, are you surprised about anything you've seen come out of the "confessionals"?
Survivor Joel says: Not really. I'm a little disappointed that they were that far against me. I knew they were a little bit mad at me, but not surprised, no.

Digital Dish Diva says: Lil Kim says: Joel, did you ever have a crush on one of the cast members?
Survivor Joel says: I don't know if I had a crush. I thought they were kinda cute, but I didn't think it would be a good idea to get a relationship going with anyone on the island.

Digital Dish Diva says: shadow says: Do you wish that you would have made more of an effort to "get along" with tribe members?
Survivor Joel says: I think I could have, but there's some strange decisions being made. I think my adversity with the tribe was when I stood up and pointed something out that I thought should be different. And also I wanted to make an alliance with the tribe so that we would stick together when we merged. But I don't know, I don't think it is in my personality.

Digital Dish Diva says: nanuu says: Joel, what was the first thing you wanted after you got off the island? A Starbucks mocha? A nap? A phone?
Survivor Joel says: Probably just to sit down and take a breath, to relax.

Digital Dish Diva says: Legend says: What do you think will happen when the two tribes merge?
Survivor Joel says: I think the games going to change very much and it will get more exciting than it already has been.

Digital Dish Diva says: Duckie says: How did you feel when you realized that you had been voted off for Gervase's remark, and that the women had nothing against Greg (maybe because he is sleeping with Colleen)?
Survivor Joel says: Yeah, I think they definitely had an alliance. I don't think he was sleeping with her. Maybe I just didn't explain things very well and that backfired on me later. It was very disappointing.

Digital Dish Diva says: flowlikewater says: What would be the one piece of advice you would give a person considering applying for the Australia survivor show?
Survivor Joel says: Be yourself. Be spontaneous, and more importantly be yourself. Because they're going to know. Just be yourself.

Digital Dish Diva says: suspat says: How did the other survivors react to the naked guy?
Survivor Joel says: I don't think they were too thrilled with it. I don't think a lot of them liked it much. I think a lot of them were offended.

Digital Dish Diva says: lancespetcat Asks: Did you know any of the members of your tribe before the show started? If not, was it hard to get to be friends with them?
Survivor Joel says: Yeah, I didn't know anybody until the show started. Me and Gervase got along well. We met on the boat, but I didn't really get to know anyone until we got to the island.

Digital Dish Diva says: piggy says: After seeing you on TV what did your family have to say about your adventure?
Survivor Joel says: They were very supportive, everyone was very happy about it. And of course they were very shocked when I was voted off the other night, but they have been completely supportive before and after.

Digital Dish Diva says: Traci Asks: How true was the rumor that you survivors got to leave the island and eat?
Survivor Joel says: It is completely false. I had lost twenty pounds while I was on the island so it was clear that I wasn't eating anything. But we never left the island for any reason.

Digital Dish Diva says: greatgolfer2000 Asks: I know you didn't see them much, but who do you think you would have liked most?
Survivor Joel says: Probably Sean or Dirk. I still hang around with them now.

Digital Dish Diva says: princess says: What does rat taste like, really?
Survivor Joel says: The legs taste like chicken and the rest tastes like a rat.

Digital Dish Diva says: uareintheMATRIX Asks: What's your most favorite memory on the island?
Survivor Joel says: The competitions. I had a great time. Probably hitting the bullseye in the spear throw.

Digital Dish Diva says: Willy says: Was voting BB off so early a mistake?
Survivor Joel says: No. He was a tax on our supplies and the morale.

Digital Dish Diva says: AngelGEeyes says: Every girl wants to know. . .are you single?
Survivor Joel says: Right now, yes.

Digital Dish Diva says: VALRICO Asks: Normally television exposure can produce many positive opportunities for an individual, have you experienced any negative things from your TV exposure?
Survivor Joel says: I have had a few people come up to me with negative things to say. But mostly good things, I would say 99% good, it's just that 1% that says bad things.

Digital Dish Diva says: rebel22 says: What is the most embarrassing thing that happened to you while on the island?
Survivor Joel says: Getting kicked off as #6. (Laughs)

Digital Dish Diva says: Yes, I'd say that qualifies.

Digital Dish Diva says: johnb300m says: Why didn't any of you just sit BB down and say he couldn't act like that?
Survivor Joel says: We tried, he just didn't want to listen. We tried ten or twenty times and he just didn't want to listen to it.

Digital Dish Diva says: "The Jack of Hearts" Asks: Which was harder to deal with? The animals and insects or the other castaways?
Survivor Joel says: Probably it's a tie between the both, they were pretty even. (laughs)

Digital Dish Diva says: jlgbeanies Asks: I want to know what is was really like on island. I personally don't think you should have been voted off the island, but are you glad that you are home?
Survivor Joel says: No, I wanted to keep on going until the end. When I got there I had it set in my mind that I would win, that I had the ability to win. I was disappointed.

Digital Dish Diva says: Courtney Asks: Are you getting recognized?
Survivor Joel says: Yes, pretty much I walk down the street sometimes. I do look different than when I was on the show. I would say every day about ten or fifteen people.

Digital Dish Diva says: So it must be odd for people to come up to you say "I almost didn't recognize you with clothes on."
Survivor Joel says: I hear that a lot. (laughs)

Digital Dish Diva says: Sweety Asks: Joel, when you said "the legs taste like chicken but the rest tastes like rat" did that mean the rat tasted good or bad?
Survivor Joel says: That's bad. Definitely bad. You do not want any of that!

Digital Dish Diva says: BillB Asks: Perhaps this was revealed in the show early on, but we missed it, and now it's often discussed amongst my friends. Toilet paper - supplied, or did you have to 'rough it'?
Survivor Joel says: We had to rough it. Definitely did not have any. Had to be very careful with the leaves.

Digital Dish Diva says: rooter8 says: What would have happened if someone had been bit by one of those sea snakes? Those things can kill you right?
Survivor Joel says: Yeah, somebody probably would have died. They have no anti-venom for those.

Digital Dish Diva says: bigb Asks: What were you scared of the most on the island?
Survivor Joel says: Maybe getting injured so much that I'd have to leave. There's so much out there though, just getting injured so much that I'd have to leave the island.

Digital Dish Diva says: mameajama Asks: Do you think the producers of the show, made the challenges harder for your time, because you were obviously a stronger team?
Survivor Joel says: No, I think the other team maybe had a little better teamwork. We had a lot of strong individuals, but we weren't able to work as well as a team. So, I think they were pretty even.

Digital Dish Diva says: browneyes7 says: What, if any, self-insight did you gain from this experience?
Survivor Joel says: That we're very lucky to live where we live now. I know what it's like to have nothing, so we're very lucky to have everything that we have here in the United States.

Digital Dish Diva says: jamazing says: Joel how does he feel about being called a male chauvinist?
Survivor Joel says: I think it's just a misunderstanding. I don't think I said anything that was bad or derogatory. I just had comments to the people on the island and I never said anything against women. I just think it's a mistake.

Digital Dish Diva says: westernwitch says: What happens after you are voted off? Do you stay at the resort?
Survivor Joel says: Yeah, we stay there. I spent the rest of the time hanging out in Malaysia.

Digital Dish Diva says: madtownguy Asks: Joel, there seemed to be a lot of birds, turtles etc on the island. Were you not allowed to eat any of these?
Survivor Joel says: Yeah, we could not eat anything that was indigenous to the island. The only thing we could eat were the rats. There were a lot of protected species so we could only eat things that were not indigenous to the island and that was the rats and fish.

Digital Dish Diva says: lolita Asks: How are you making a living and what do you plan about your future? Can you take advantage of being on Survivor?
Survivor Joel says: I'm hoping to. Gervase and I are looking at things and maybe doing some endorsements. If the public wants to see more of us, I'm all for it.

Digital Dish Diva says: Ross Asks: How hard is it to keep the secret about who ultimately wins?
Survivor Joel says: Very hard. Every single person you can imagine is trying to trick us out of the answer. So that's been the toughest thing since I've been back is not to get tricked out of the answer.

Digital Dish Diva says: We've been talking with "Survivor" Joel Klug who was voted off the island of Pulau Tiga in this week's episode of "Survivor."
