Final Thoughts

Jerri's Final Words:
You know, it's funny, because I actually knew this was coming. It must have been my remark about how this game isn't fair. I'm pretty sure that's what set everyone off. But I don't regret saying it, because it was true. There is absolutely nothing about this game that is fair, and a lot of people have a hard time dealing with the truth. I knew at that moment that everyone was seeing me a little bit differently.

But what I want to say for myself is that for me, this game and the way it's been played has been a complete success. I came into this game, and my initial strategy was to create a group of people who would vote the same, and within the first three hours of the game, I had approached four other people and created that group. So from that point, my next goal was to take that group and make it to the merge. Unfortunately, there were people in that group who had other things in mind, and they played the game their way, and kudos to them for doing so. Surprised the hell out of me; I never saw it coming. Still, with our group, we made it to the merge: goal number two, accomplished. At that point, my next goal was to make it to the jury. And somehow, some way, even though I'm sitting here right now, I'm in the jury. So I have made it. Slowly but surely, every goal that I've set, I've accomplished.

Unfortunately, the only goal I set that I won't accomplish is making it to the final two. But quite honestly, after winning two rewards--and I think maybe that might have had a little bit to do with the fact that I'm sitting here as well--the last reward was absolutely amazing. Flying in that helicopter, sitting on that beach, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, I already at that point felt completely content, and happy with where I was and where I had been, and I knew tonight would be the night I'd be sitting here. But I've had a great time, and I'm still up for sitting around with everybody and having a beer and laughing about this thing. What a great game--I'm so glad that I've had a part in this game! I'm done, you guys! Where's my Snickers?
