12:Walking the Tightrope
My comments:
The episode starts out with Emily and Susie talking about Emily's and Christian's car accident in Nice. Even though Christian is not at the table he is sitting at his bunk listening to their conversation and then talking about his guilt. A little later a night they get a mission clue from Christina from RR6, the clue tells them to meet at a warehouse for their next mission.
When they get to the warehouse they find their mayor, Jay Cochrane, and they find out that their next mission is tightrope walking ten stories over. During the day each group gets to practice on the wire and this time they are only 3 feet of the floor. In the beginning everyone is falling of but as the day goes on most of the group starts getting a lot better. After practice Christian is talking to Julie and says that if there is no safety ropes he will not do it, because he said after his accident he said that he would not take any chances any more, and Christian is not the only one that does not want to do this.
The next morning the buses take each group to Six Flags Great Adventure where they will be doing their tightrope walk. Jay then shows what each member needs to do to get points. If they get to the fist flag they get 50 points, the second 100 points, and lastly to the other side 200 points. To make this worse just before the fist flag each member needs to disconnect their safety line, and when the get close to the other side they have to rehook their safety line because if they do not and end up falling they could hit the tower.
First up is Susie, then Emily, Michelle, and Dan and none of these members end up making any points. That changes when Jamie jumps to the first flag and scores 50 points for Real World, but when Syrus tries this it does not work. But when Kameelah gets on the rope she does a great job, the only problem is when she get close to the other side and she can not find the safety line and she has to jump because she can not go any futher in case she hits the tower, but she does score 100 points and Real World is up 150 to none. Next is Rebecca, Julie, Laterrian, and James and again the could not get any points either. The last person to go is Christian and the wins depends on him and he has to go all the way across. Even though he has a little bit of trouble he ends up making it across and earns 200 points and also the MVP. And the Road Rules is only 10,000 dollars behind Real World.

Christian and Emily reflect on the serious car accident that they were both involved in several years ago. The next mission involves an eccentric mission mayor and a dangerous task--walking a tightrope 10 stories above a concrete floor. Each team member must try and walk to several targets on the tightrope while connected to either a safety rope or a bungee cord, depending on where they are on the tightrope.
Kameelah makes it almost the whole way across, but is terrified at the prospect of connecting herself to the safety cord, which dangles behind her. Julie is disappointed in herself when she doesn't make it across the tightrope. The RR team down by 150 points, Christian becomes the hero when he is the only one to make it all the way across, earning his team 200 points and the victory.
