What Deanna had to say about the episode:
This week on the Real World Road Rules Challenge each team has to be locked away in a padded cell for 48 hours. CRAZY. Especially since Los has not been getting along at all with his teammates. To make the mission even more insane each team was given a ball and it has to be kept bouncing for the entire duration or the team faces disqualification, Yikes!
I don't know, but I am starting to think the problem between Los and Piggy is sexual tension. While Road Rules is locked up Piggy is jumping back and forth over Los. Both teams are going stir crazy. The Road Rules team come up with a genius plan to keep the ball bouncing. They place the ball into a plastic bag and hang it from the ceiling by a shoelace. The bag is hung in front of the air conditioner which continuously is blowing air. This in turn continually swings the ball back and forth. How utterly resourceful!
At some point each and every team mate is acting crazy. Amaya spelled out HELP with the waterbottles, Teck is bouncing off the walls, Dave was Smoking! I guess they don't get that extra six thousand E! Trade dollars. The Real World team is bowling with the water bottles for pins and the tennis ball for the bowing ball. Kat is the only one awake bouncing the ball at one point, and she wakes David to bounce the ball while she goes to the bathroom. Dave falls asleep and the ball stops bouncing for twenty seconds. The Real World is disqualified! It is really horrible for Dave and Kat the both feel so guilty. Heather warned the team to wake her up and Kat didn't listen. Heather was really cool about the situation anyway.
The funniest thing of this entire show was when the Real World came to Road Rules in their padded cell they were all tan and everything trying to play like this was another prank mission. Real World said that Dr.b Bob was Mike's uncle! Cruel joke. I thought team Road Rules was going to die, but happily they survived and are now ten thousand dollars richer!

What Bunim/Murray had to say about the episode:
After holding a group meeting, the RRers agree to cooperate with Los, although they recognize that they'll never be friends with him. Dan plays mediator and gets Los to return so thte buses can move on to Miami. So what better to do with a team full of warring individuals than to lock them up together for 48 hours? Dr. Bob, the mayor of the last E*trade mission and a Nova University psychologist, explains that each team will be confined to a window-less room for the next two days with only the bare essentials. Whichever team can last the 48 hours will win the $10,000. They must also keep a ball in motion for the entire length of the mission. As the hours wear on, boredom and exhaustion take over. Well into the 36th hour, the ball proves to be the losing factor for Team RW. Against Heather's earlier advice, Kat momentarily trusts a sleepy David to keep the ball moving, and he briefly dozes off. The Worlders are disqualified, which sends Heather into a fit of anger and Kat into the depths of guilt. Despite their past feuds, The Roadies do remarkably well - mostly due to their ingenuity. Rigging up the ball to swing hands-free, the RRers are able to sleep the remainder of the mission - although they too have their loopy moments. As they reach the 48-hour mark, the jubilant but tired Team RRers are informed that they have won the last E*Trade challenge. But the Roadies have gained much more than a $10,000 prize. The forced time in confinement allowed them the opportunity to reflect and both Piggy and Los agree to try and understand each other better. Team Road Rules is one again.
