917: A DAY OUT ON O-TOWN

Missions:
17: Road Rules O Town Face/Off

My comments:
The group gets their next clue to meet Jan from Entertainment Tonight for a mission that is music to your ears. When they get there Jan tells them that they are going to compete against O Town, and we find out that O Town is fans of Road Rules. The group finds out that the mission is worth 12,000 dollars. On the way to the mission the cast dogs on O Town. When they arrive they find out that they are doing are doing a race starting with a jump off a cliff with a balloon tied to them, once everyone is down on the beach they must race a boat back to the dock.
Road Rules is the first one to get the whole team off the cliff and they got a five-minute lead. But the lead is shortly lost and O Town takes the lead half way during the race. With twelve miles left the each group has to need to find a buoy and round it then head for the dock. Just before the dock Road Rules takes the lead, but they again lose the lead to O Town. And in the end O Town wins the race and the money, and this makes the cast very upset. But when O Town is given the check they tell everyone that they are giving half back to Road Rules because they let them get out of practice. This makes the cast feel bad because they were treating O Town so bad and they ended up being so nice.

What MTV had to say about the episode:
For the next mission, the Road Rulers must face off against the boy band O-Town in a mission on Catalina Island. The first part of the mission requires each person to parabounce off a cliff. The Road Rulers take the lead by several minutes as they enter into the main part of the mission, a sailing race from Catalina Island to San Pedro.
The Road Rulers are not happy when O-Town not only catches up with them, but also passes them in their sailboat. The close competition causes the Road Rules team to lose their team moral and sportsmanship. This mission creates a new bond and appreciation for one another, as the Road Rulers face only one more week together.
