Season 9 Episodes

What I said | MTV said about this episode.

916: ALONE WITH YOUR THOUGHTS

Missions:
16: 48 Hour Seclusion

My comments:
In the middle of the night the Roadmaster come on and tells them that they need a rest. Then they are given clue to meet at 7:30 am at a location in the desert. Just as the cast gets to the location they see two people standing in the middle of the road, so everyone gets out and they find out that they are going to spend 48 hours by themselves in the woods. Each person is given a list telling each member what he or she can take with him or her. So everyone gets packed up, and then they are off to their location, while they are there they will be given a camera to do a video diary. Just before Holly leaves she pleads to take her bible. But she is told that she can not take it with her. Once they get at their site they are given a whistle in case of an emergency.
So it starts. While they are at their site they have a boundary that that can not cross. Of the whole group Holly is doing the worse, and it is not even nighttime and she is getting scared. While in the woods Theo celebrates his twentieth birthday. To pass the time everyone is thinking back on their lives and they reasons that they are the way that they are, with Theo wishing that he could see his Dad again and he wishes that he was alive.
As the sun goes down the cast is starting to get scared, and Kathryn says that this is the hardest mission yet, just then she hears a whistle. So the crew run toward the whistle and they find Holly in the fetal position crying, and she says that there is ghost all around. As morning breaks we find that the mission mayors stayed the night with Holly and then we find out that Holly decided to not finish the mission. As the day progresses James starts losing his mind. The last night went well and the next morning everyone is packed up and waiting to return back to the group. As everyone gets together they start talking about making the best if the last week.

What MTV had to say about the episode:
The next mission requires each of the Road Rulers to spend 48 hours alone in the wilderness where they will each record their own video diaries. Holly protests when she learns that she can't bring her Bible with her during her isolation in the wilderness. While spending his 20th birthday alone in the wilderness, Theo becomes emotional as he reminisces about his deceased father and how much he misses him.
After dark, the mission becomes much more terrifying, especially after hearing the shrill of a loud whistle, signaling that one of the team members is in trouble. The mission mayors discover that the whistle call came from Holly, who lay frozen in her tent, terrified by her fear of ghosts. This mission creates a new bond and appreciation for one another, as the Road Rulers face only one more week together.
