915: FLYING WITH THE AFRICAN BIRDS

My comments:
    The episode starts with the Roadmaster telling the group that he will show the group fear and then asks them if they know how to spell vomit. Their email clue telling them to go to the airport the next morning. At the airport they find out that they might get t fly in a jet airplane, the way that they get to fly the jet is to beat out everyone else in skill tests. The two runner-ups get to fly in a smaller plane but they might not get to control it.
    Their first test is an airplane test dealing with the workings of the plane. The second test is an ejection seat test and the third is a flight simulator. Holly does the simulator first and the guys want to watch but she will not let them because it might give them an edge over everyone else. When all the tests are done, the results are released: James, Theo, and Kathryn get to do a fly off to see how gets to go up in the jet.
    Just before going up Theo gives his ride to Msaada, because all the things that the group has given him. After Msaada get back to the ground James and Kathryn get to go up, once everyone is done James ends up winning the jet ride. Even though Msaada and Kathryn did not win they said that if they did they would let Holly go in their place but James says that he would not. At the last moment he gives it to Holly. After she gets back she tells the group that she has awesome time and she tells James thanks a lot.

Bunim/Murray comments:
    At the Top Gun mission, the ever percolating rift between Holly and James comes to a head when the Road Rulers compete against one another for a once in a life time thrill ride on the indomitable Strikemaster Fighter Jet. When James wins the Top Gun Flight, Holly loses all hope of living out her fantasy as a fighter pilot and falls to pieces. James, sensing genuine hurt behind Holly's signature dramatics, realizes that Holly's dream to fly far outweighs his desires to win and selflessly givers her the coveted spot, setting their relationship back on track and proving that he indeed has the right stuff

What MTV had to say about the episode:
    The next South African mission involves a contest where three of the Road Rulers will get the opportunity to fly in a fighter jet. Holly and Msaada are especially disappointed to learn that the winners are James, Theo, and Kathryn. Theo decides to give Msaada his chance to fly the fighter jet because he knows that it is one of her dreams in life.
    In Kathryn and Msaada both decide that if they win the "Top Gun" award, they will give it to Holly, which will allow her to fly the fighter jet. After James is awarded the "Top Gun" award, he decides that making someone else happy is more important than flying, and gives the award to Holly. Holly gets the incredible experience of doing air acrobatics in a fighter jet.
