912: STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND

12: Extreme Feedings

My comments:
    The episode starts out with the cast arriving in South Africa, once they land James and Theo take off and go to a bar. The rest of the group is left wondering where James and Theo went. Two hours later James and Theo show up with no excuse and the girls get upset because James did not tell them where they went before they left and this causes a lot of fighting on their way to their hotel.
    The next morning the cast sets off to their next mission, which they find out that they are going to work on a shark expedition. Their first job was to make chum (cut up fish to attract the sharks to the boat). Once James gets that finished they load the buckets of chum on the boat and everyone is off to find the sharks. Once the chum is placed in the water the sharks start swarming the boat and then the cast finds out that their next job is to get in the shark cage to get a up close and personal view of the sharks.
    Once everyone has got a turn in the cage they are told that they are going to help tag some sharks for research. But before they can tag the shark the shark breaks loose the bait and swims away taking their only bait with them, so they will not get to tag any sharks today. Once they get back to the dock the cast is paid for their work and they head off to their hotel. That night the fighting starts up again and the boys tell the girls that they want to hold on to their own money and this just causes more fights.

What MTV had to say about the episode:
    Just after their arrival in South Africa, James and Theo upset the rest of the group by disappearing from the airport for two hours. James gets angry when confronted by the girls and starts a yelling match with Msaada. The guys and girls each talk about the obvious gender separation that has occurred among the team.
    The team is nervous when they find out that their next mission involves great white sharks. In groups of two, the Road Rulers go down in an underwater cage to observe the sharks as they attack the bait. After getting into another yelling match, James and Msaada make up and gain a new understanding of one another.
