907: SWIMMING IN SEX

7: Synchronized Swimming

My comments:
   The episode starts with Kathryn talking to her Mom and her boyfriend about leaving the show because no one believes her about what happened between her and Laterian. When she talks to Laterian about stopping the whole romance she refuses and wants to continue.
   That evening in the Shasta the Road Master comes on and tells them that they will have to deal with body image. That next morning the group meets up with comedian Jim Bauer, who is their mission mayor. It is then that Jim introduces their competition, the Playboy Playmates. Once helloes are given each group is told that they are going tom compete in synchronize swimming.
   During the practice time Kathryn and Laterian continue to fight about everything, and this is causing the rest of the group to feel uneasy. That night things start to get worse, and everyone gets mad at everyone else. We finally find out what actually happened, but I will not go into that here because it was a mistake between Kathryn and Laterian and it does not need to be discussed.
   The day of the competition the group finally get everything worked out and they get ready for their competition. The playmates go first and they do a good job. Then it is Road Rules turn and they do a great job. When the scoring is done the playmates get 34 points and Road Rules gets 35 points so Road Rules wins. That night after the competition Kathryn tells Theo that she is sorry that she asked him to lie for her and Theo forgives her and they make up.

   Still unable to own up to the truth of what happened between her and Laterrian, Kathryn tries to leave the show but is convinced by her mother to stay. Her inability to confess causes friction within the group, ultimately sparking a massive debate in which her castmates demand she come clean. Kathryn finally admits to the truth of her encounter with Laterrian.
   At Synch or Swim, the Roadies are unable to work together as a cohesive group. When fighting erupts during a practice session, James takes control and tells the group to set their differences aside and go for the win. In the end, James pulls the team together for a victory at the Face-Off and injects a much needed positive attitude back into the divided group.

What MTV had to say about the episode:
   Kathryn breaks into tears as she tells her mom that she is considering leaving the show due to her relationship with Laterrian and the reactions of her teammates.
   The next mission requires the Road Rules team to compete against the Playboy Extreme Team in a synchronized swimming event.
   The night before the competition the Road Rules team is having trouble with team morale because of problems between Laterrian and Kathryn.
   The entire cast ends up in a heated discussion about what really went on between Laterrian and Kathryn.
   After admitting that she lied about her fling with Laterrian, Kathryn makes peace with her teammates and decides to stay on the show.
   The Road Rules team enjoys success in their synchronized swimming competition against the Playboy Extreme Team.
