902: FROSTY FACE OFF

Missions:
3: Road Rules Olympiad
The Games of the Road Rules Olympiad:
    In Park City:
The Ski Jump. Each team chooses one man and one woman to complete individually. The combined score of the two athletes (distanced jumped) wins the event.
Skeleton Racing. Each team chooses one man and one woman to complete individually. The combined score of the two athletes (best time) wins the event.
Bobsled (two person). Each team chooses one man and one woman to complete together. The team who makes it down the fastest wins the event.
   In Provo:
Short Track Speed Skating. All six members of each team will race as parts of a six-on-six relay (two skaters at a time). Each team will skate 30 laps - 5 for each skater. Teams decide on the order of skaters, but no skater can skate more than 5 laps. The team with the best time wins.
Tiebreaker (if necessary): a single person speed skate race showdown. One skater from each team will skate 1,500 meters (12.5 laps) to determine the overall winner. Each team may choose their skater.

What Deanna had to say about the episode:
This week on the Road Rules Maximum Velocity tour the team meets Peekabo Street! The mission takes Place at Sun Peak. This is going to be a competition against another team called The MTV. Com kids. The two teams are competing in a Bobsled race, skeleton race, ski jump, and speed skating. Katherine and Holly are the only ones who have ever skied before. There is much tension between the girls on the two teams.
Holly is very competitive. She is excited to train for the skeleton race. The skeleton is like the luge, but face first. Holly says it reminds her of a waterslide. I can't believe that Theo and Laterian are doing ski jumping when they don't even know how to ski! I like this team, because they are hard working, competitive, and crazy!
Holly is really rude to the .Com Kids. The entire Road Rules team wants to kick the Dot Commers Butts in competition. So when Laterian is flirting with the girls on the other team, his teammates are less than proud. Laterian is definitely girl crazy. The two teams are in competition for the one thousand dollar coins. This is an all or nothing situation. You don't win a coin here or there. Winner takes all! Six thousand dollars will either go to the Road Rules team, or the MTV.Com kids. Tune in next week to see who wins!

What Bunim/Murray had to say about the episode:
Holly, a self-espoused adrenaline junkie, is psyched to face the physical challenge for the first face off at the Winter Games. However, Holly's enthusiasm turns into increasing anxiety when she is forced to deal with the inexperience of her own teammates, an old knee injury and a very nasty online team. As the Winter Games are about to commence, Holly is completely unnerved by the pressure of the impending competition.
On the other side of the coin, Laterrian is determined to mend his ways as a "slut," but his convictions are challenged when he meets the cute Online girls. When his hopes at competing in the ski jump are dashed by Theo, he reverts to the comfort for what he knows best - women.

What MTV had to say about the episode:
Olympic Gold Metal Winner Picabo Street explains that Mission #2 involves a ski competition between the Road Rules team and a team of contest winners picked by MTV.com. Both teams demonstrate early on that they are not there to make friends with one another.
Holly's personality clashes with the MTV.com team, as well as the guys on the Road Rules team, as both teams practice for competition day.
The night before the competition, Laterrian chooses to hang out with the MTV.com girls, which is not cool with the rest of the Road Rules team. Meanwhile, Kathryn and Holly continue to express their strong dislike for the MTV.com girls.
