Mission Notes:
The Rules -
1. A person must walk from one balloon basket to the other in order to earn 1 point for their team.
2. In the event a person falls during his/her walk, that person can still qualify for a point if they return to the beam and complete the walk.
3. If a person touches the wire attaching the balloon above during his/her walk, the walk is disqualified and the person must redo the walk from the basket start point in order to earn 1 point for their team.
4. Each team member will have at least one opportunity to complete the walk. If weather conditions and time permit, team members may have additional chances to successfully complete the walk.
5. Each successful walk is worth 1 point for Team Road Rules, and each team member can only contribute 1 point per mission- 6. 6 total possible points. Each point is worth $1,000.
My comments:
To tell the truth I was not excited to see this episode because of the fact that they was going to
be testing out penis pumps and I did not think that was in good taste but when I found out that
the whole testing things was handled as a side note I was happy to watch. This season has
intrigued me and I am looking forward to this season more than any other season. I am
interested in what else could more thrilling than there first mission but Bunim Murray has
promised an exciting season and from the previews some may chicken out before it is over.
What Deanna had to say about the episode:
Road Rules Season 9. The maximum velocity Tour. This season, there are
points accumulated to receive the handsome reward. 100,000 dollars to be split six ways. The
group meets up, Msaada, Theo, James, Holly, Laterian, and I think the last girls name is Kat.
They have to work as a team to be able to win the cash. The Road Rulers
have a Shasta instead of a Winnebago. It is bigger and very sleek and space age looking. They
are woken up super early to go do their first Mission in Arizona. They see two hot air balloons.
And by the way everyone is picking at Theo. The team has to walk across a metal beam that is
suspended between the two hot air balloons.
James is very nervous about this mission. In order to get the 1,000 coin they
have to make it across the beam without touching anything.(6,000 dollars in all) Laterian goes
first pre med student from Chapel hill. Theo goes next, Kat or whatever her name is, then the
other girl who likes James, Msaada makes it across, then last in James he makes is at across.
Mission accomplished.
The team meets an Indian Chief who gives them a blessing and the horns. He
tells them now they are a tribe. I think James and Holly will end up being an item. Theo is a bit
backwards. But I think the group is being a bit harder on him than they should. I could be
wrong, we shall see. Holly says she is a self-proclaimed nympho maniac. The team gets a
chance to earn some money, a job, at radio station. Product testing. The daddy nurser and
water bras. The daddy nurser is just like what it sounds, a bra that a Dad wears to nurse a
baby. It has nipples sticking out of it. They are having a lot of fun with this mission. The girls
are drinking from the daddy bras, the men don't want to give the bras back (daddy nurser) they
finish with ample time. They earned 1500. If they get 5 more people to try this product, and fill
out the questionnaire they will get more money. The penis pump. The guys don't want to even
want to try. They end up finding so many people who want to try they end up turning people
away. The results are quite impressive. So the Road Rulers end up getting an extra 500
dollars. Two thousand in all. This money has to last them for two weeks and two days.
Holly seems to be a bit much for James. He would like a girl that is more
conservative. The team goes to work out at the Gym. Holly is disappointed. The guys brought
the girls back to the RV and went for a dip in the hot tub. The girls are not too happy. The guys
are together hanging out, and I think bonding. It looks like it is going to ge a great season.

Theo is immediately misunderstood by his cast mates because of his unique take on life, then isolates himself from the group. However, the consumer testing provides a perfect venue for his quirkiness and he begins to be accepted and valued bye the cast. In the end, he is embraced by the Roadie family, and happily looks forward to the rest of the trip
Holly and James are hot for each other. James backs off when he becomes intimidated by her sexual experience and power. James makes a play for the Provo girls, and Holly, in an act of defensiveness, pretends to be indifferent.

One by one, Msaada, Theo, Holly, James, Laterrian, and Kathryn arrive to the desert location in Sedona, Arizona where the "Maximum Velocity Tour" begins. Inside their motor home, they are greeted by "The Road Master."
The first mission toward winning the maximum prize of $100,000 requires every team member to walk across a tightrope that is attached to two hot air balloons. All six face their fears and complete the mission successfully.
Theo feels distant from the group while Holly and James develop a pattern of flirtation.
The second mission takes place in Flagstaff, Arizona, where the Road Rulers must test the following two products among students on a college campus: a breast enhancer and a penis pump.
On to Provo, Utah where Holly, Msaada, and Kathryn get jealous when the boys invite girls from the gym to a hot tub party at the hotel.
